Once again for those in the back.

So-called #RightToWork laws have nothing to do with the legality of organizing. They don't make it more difficult to organize. They don't mean that companies can ignore your rights under the #NLRA. They don't even make it _harder_ to file against your employer.

They prevent certain classes of #union security arrangement.

That's it.

Stop discouraging organizing by spreading misinformation.

A lot of people seem to think that because their state has #RightToWork laws it means that they cannot do these things (or rather are not protected in doing these things). This is not true.

What it means is that you have some limitations on the kinds of things you union can negotiate that can help preserve your union going forward.

It means that your job is much, much harder going forward.

But it doesn't mean that your rights don't exist.

So about #RightToWork (or "right to work" with quotes, because it has nothing to do with the "right to work")…

"Right to work" does not mean:

1. You do not have the right to organize.
2. You do not have the right to form a union.
3. You do not have the right to engage in protected concerted activity.
4. You do not have rights under the ADA and OSHA.

It means that, in a #union negotiation, you have some (stringent) limitations on union security agreements. That's (mostly) it

"Right to Work" is a regressive anti-labor concept that was designed to undermine individuals' ability to unionize and therefore bargain collectively.

It also usually means you can be fired at any moment for cause or no cause.
