#RingsofPower ist schon wegen des unheilschwanger kampfgeilen Ehrengequatsches, der faschistoiden Abstammungpusseligkeit und des schlampig gewaschenen White Supremacy-Mülls schlimm, aber letztlich ist das Plastikpathos der dümmlichstdenkbaren Musik das übelste Verdauungshindernis

@HeyeBodo Viel Spaß damit.

Ich meide mittlerweile #Fantasy-Genrestuff, wie z. B. #RingsofPower und/oder #TheWitcher #BloodOrigins. Ich stehe eher auf harte bzw. wendungsreiche #Thriller/#Krimi s. #DasEndedrrWahrheit hat etwas seltsam Kaltes und Konsequentes an sich. Zu bestimmten Filmteilen möchte ich nichts sagen.
Insgesamt fand ich den Film sehenswert, womit ich anfänglich nicht gerechnet hätte.

I wish the #Guardian would stop bashing #RingsOfPower. It was brilliant entertainment. Honestly I'm a huge Tolkien fan but this incessant gatekeeping by them is tiresome.

I think the real problem with #RingsOfPower is that it’s trying to be all epic, all prestige, all serious all of the time. The actors have almost no space to breathe and the characters have no space to be people, with the exception of the Dwarves.

Then #RingsOfPower was a great adaptation of Tolkiens second age & holy shit @neilhimself actually did it & pulled of an incredible #Sandman adaptation.
This was a very good TV-year, I feel.🙂

@ShandyAndy I would love to see the great tales of the first age on screen, but I don’t think it’ll happen until a new generation is in charge of the Tolkien estate. They got burned bad by the existing license, which was poorly written in the 70s and never expired.

I definitely enjoyed Rings of Power, I’ll need to give it a second watch before the next season comes out.

The more time passes since I watched #RingsOfPower, the less I care about it. It was nice, and I surely will tune into season 2, but it also completely failed to make me care about any of its characters.

Meanwhile, I can't wait for the next episode of #Andor, and I'm *very* curious about the second season of #TheWheelOfTime

Oh, and #HisDarkMaterials has been reliably excellent, so the third season seems a guaranteed success!

I watched #TheHobbitDesolationOfSmaug last night for@only the second time@since I saw the original in the cinema. It was great! #RingsOfPower rekindled my love for #LoTR 😊👍

@Agentpumpkin Yeah, had the books for a while. Did try running 1e not long after getting them, but it didn’t work well for how we played. Used the books for running a different system. Been wanting to give 2e a go since getting the books. It is a great system if you are looking to recreate the feeling of the books. To be honest, I think I want something more #RingsofPower in feel than the actual feeling of the books. I’m too weary and miserable in real life to want that experience in my games.
