I spent the wee hours this morning doing post session GM campaign work. Including One sending out player XP (they leveled up!). It stuck me, I’ve not run a game with “levels” since I ran Pathfinder 1st #RiseofTheRunelords.

Levels have always been something that never resonated with me. I played some level based games but prefer other styles of character advancement. My 🧠 is kinda stuff in that game theory mode.

When one's players are determined to follow the red herring to the scary megadungeon mentioned in the source material in passing, it behooves one to prep at least a few levels of said megadungeon...
