@unfortunateshort @thor It depends very much on the meds. I’m a big fan of #methylphenidate (#Ritalin). Available for over 50 years, no addiction, it works from day 1, no tapering, and limited side effects. It also replaces an #ADHD test: if you feel like on cocaine, you don’t have ADHD. 😅
Disclaimer:
Just in case someone without a sense of humour reads this Toot, I’d like to stress that the last point was a joke. I STRONGLY advise against taking this stuff without medical supervision!

Talking with Greg about his visit here, and I mentioned that I'd been reading about #adhd #medication (specifically #ritalin) and how you shouldn't take it with ascorbic acid etc..
Me:
So apparently you're also supposed to take it with a high protein breakfast
Him:
LOLOLOLOL
Me:
OK, so I was thinking about omelettes, I'm guessing you were thinking about blowjob?
Him:
Only because I thought that's where you were going..
Apfel.

Yesterday was a day I’ve waited for for a long time. What my psychologist thought was confirmed by a psychiatrist - I got my #ADHD diagnosis! I start #Ritalin in 3 weeks; until then I’m collecting tips, tricks and techniques that might work well along with medication to help me cope with my symptoms. Especially those related to writing, emails and invoicing, cleaning, life admin, maintaining friendships, and losing/forgetting things. Got any that work for you?
I'm not sure if this kind of question is appropriate here, I figured it might be worth a shot due to the amount of people with ADHD I've crossed paths with.
Is there anyone out there, after being dx with ADHD and prescribed Artige (IR methylphenidate/Ritalin) and found no improvement even taking up to a 30mg dose? My understanding is that the max dose tends to be around 60mg a day (meaning that my taking 30mg twice a day would meet that)
I started with 5 and worked up to 10 and realised nothing was happening. My psychiatrist has ignored my emails regarding increasing dosage. I guess she wants to wait to discuss it at our appointment, but waiting 3 months taking something that isn't working seems like an awful waste of time to me and quite unprofessional in my opinion... but I digress.
I will be speaking to her about this in a couple of weeks however I am hesitant to divulge that I tried increasing in increments up to 30mg to see if it made any difference, mostly due to the whole "stimulants are addictive/if you're taking more than prescribed you're a drug seeker" thing.
Has anyone else had a similar experience with this medication? If so, did you persist or even increase further and find different results or did you have better luck trying something else?

Ich fühle definitiv anders als normal neurotypische Menschen, da mir das auch von diesen so mitgeteilt wird.
