The point that I have been trying to make of late is that the #RobodebtRC was handed a set of conditions that could only possibly investigate lawlessness rather than immorality on behalf of the government, so the Commission is itself at risk of disappearing like the Ombudsman's Enquiry before it, unable to pin blame on politicians, (and creating scapegoats of PS employees) with the intention of saying, "look we are exonerated", it is all very corrupted.

It wasn't a morality issue when Labor was attacking the most vulnerable of those whom it was their responsibility as a government to protect? Even without the assumption that they purported to be the Peoples' Party?

Let's not forget that Labor:

a. introduced Neoliberalism to parliament

b. started what became known as #Robodebt

c. supported the Coalition government by unanimously voting for their Police State laws & have not acted against any of them since gaining the treasury benches near a year ago.

The #RobodebtRC is limited to probing legalities, but it makes no difference to those being brutalised whether what is being perpetrated against them is legal or not.

I understand that a Commission can only focus on the legal aspects & as such has to target the illegality of using averaged data to calculate income for any other specific period

however

that illegal operation did not change or really add to the total immorality of a scheme that always & only existed to demean & bastardise the most vulnerable in the land by the most powerful with the full force of the nation behind them.

Without that one aspect we would never be enquiring into the processes of government in this regard.

Whatever whoever knew & when they knew it in no way should detract from the fact that they all, government & public service combined to use the full force of the nation against its most vulnerable for no effect other than brutalisation.

The fact that the Australian Federal Government never has money & that all of their revenue goes immediately to nought may seem an esoteric insignificance, however the entire #Robodebt fiasco was & is based on the government saving money, recovering ill-spent money for the sake of "balancing their budget" as if they had limited resources & had to "find the money" before they could spend as is the case for non-currency-issuers like you & I & businesses & state governments.

The money that was extracted, coerced from the victims of the scheme never went to any use by anyone anywhere ever.

It was always & only a scheme to bastardise the most vulnerable of the government's subjects.

Just as a general statement of my mental health, whilst still being just a little odd, was sufficient to have allowed me, with normal social assistance from my partner to raise a successful family & attain employment as long as my physical health required.
However after retiring early for health reasons & having to engage with Centrelink I have found my mental health stretched to the utmost even in conditions which did not include such as #robodebt.
Dealing with Centrelink has always impressed me as a deliberate attempt by them, DSS, Services Australia, whoever, to impede anyone they deemed to be under their control from contacting them.
That applies to all their clientele, but for those that they decided to attack, bastardise, brutalise with their Robodebt scheme, the most vulnerable & least able to defend themselves, whom they attacked for that very reason, it was utter fascism.
I barely managed to contain myself, even with the knowledge that most of the people I was dealing with appeared decent human beings, but the system they were enforcing was abhorrent, intentional fascist bastardry.

My conclusion is that Centrelink was set up by Neoliberals to impose their ideological delusions upon those that they consider unworthy.

Just to add on that line, this was a Budget 'saving' measure for the government to achieve a Fiscal Balance or a Fiscal Surplus, which are also meaningless in the face of the reality of macroeconomics.

The entire edifice was a complete nonsense at all levels at all times.
