This probably was affected by the fact that there was no sidewalk on this particular street however the crowd was also different. The city is doing sidewalk surveys and planning on filling in missing gaps. My neighborhood being near the metro station and missing some some sidewalks makes it a candidate for some construction. On one street, it was sidewalk NIMBYism. ‘Nobody walks here’, ‘there’s already a sidewalk on this side’, ‘will this raise our taxes?’ and one angry dude who had a legitimate complaint about (1/x) #RockvilleMD #safestreets

There was one person in there touting their attendance at community meetings. They said that they had fought the development of #Rockville Town Center as having been ‘ too dense.’
Somehow, fewer people living in the town center would have made it more successful? How the fuck does that work?
