No idea squeaky-clean #Mississippi Senator #ThadCochran could have been majority leader instead of #TrentLott, who left under cloud, straight to lobbying, timed to avoid the new ethics law. #SidSalter seems to value #PoliticalPork over all else but not sure chairmanships for #RogerWicker are all that desirable. Seniority system keeps both MS senators incumbent, though both were appointed, negating the spirit of the #17thAmendment. #politics

The joke was specifically in ref to the #Mississippi governor. I did note, however, that #RogerWicker who never misses a chance to take a swipe, blogged only positive things today and didn't use his name.
