No. It is impossible to migrate global or even national energy demand to renewables ON TIME IN BUDGET, meaning within relatively safe Paris limits. It is effin useless to dream of a perfect world where we have endless time to wait for raw materials to materialise on time, in budget. That prefect world doesn't exist. This is not an effin philosophical debate, this is about the survival of social order and civilisation itself!
<drops head on table>

We need to bend this curve in Glen Peter's chart of current emission policies (2020). Immediately. And to do so, immediately and on time/in budget, we either conjure up the required raw materials for renewable tech and grid (and for their other uses in general demand) or we realise: Oh man, we can't even migrate current end energy use to renewables on time. So let's face it, we must shrink that energy demand so that we only need that much energy that is migratable using available raw material.

And please: mining these raw materials gets ever more energy intensive, as well. Fossil fuels don't require that much energy input as the metals in ever deeper and deeper mines do.

And please: it is not enough if you have recycability in 25 years. You need that stuff now in order to migrate world energy demand to renewables well before the CO2 budget runs out.
Having enough copper available in 2045 for grid extension (or your precious e-cars) because you can then recycle today's infrastructure – that's too late.
Not even tiny Netherlands can migrate their energy use within Paris limits. Because raw material availability is a No Go for Dutch gluttony.
