Due to my unfortunate smoking habit (pack a day for 25 years), I now have #emphysema #copd and #asthma. I quit about 11 years ago, but I'm beginning to see a reduction in my walking capabilities. Last week, I bought a #rollator so I can have a place to sit down when I'm out and about. The problem is I'm only in my mid-50s and I feel kind of weird using it. I've had #fibromyalgia for about 35 years but I've always hidden that. I can't hide my physical issues anymore. Does anyone have advice?

Mrs. Whatsit and I are getting along nicely. She has given me back something I lost in 2008, my speed of walking. Last night I walked down our hallway at what used to be my normal, rapid pace. I grinned more and more with each step. Today, I couldn't help myself, I ran. Maybe 6 steps, but that's the first time in 14 years.
I wish I'd known what a rollator would give me. I got it for balance, I had no idea it would give me speed.
