I wonder if the #Roomba people watch videos of me wagging my finger at it while calling it a tosser.

I was disappointed yesterday to learn that the name I chose for our Roomba, Rosie, is by far the most common name chosen. I thought it was a clever Jetsons reference, and so I was surprised so many others had chosen it.

But today I noticed that I actually chose Rosey, which is only the 33rd most common name. And some web research indicates that was the original spelling, but it was changed to Rosie later in the series. Somehow I feel better now.

My mother-in-law bought us a #Roomba for Christmas, and damn do I love that thing! It's not even one of the fancy ones with a camera. It's just a 695. I have it scheduled to clean Sun, Mon, Wed, Fri, and now my floors are always clean. It's great at picking up the hair from the cat and dog too.

When it comes to artificial intelligence (and nothing against iRobot), but I dislike being in the same room when it’s doing it’s thing. The Roomba gets stuck frequently and needs help. It’s so low-key aggravating that I prefer to close the door so I can’t hear it and can ignore it’s pleas for help longer.

AI that is annoying is not enhancing my life experience.
