I posted a (messy) devlog for the latest Rosewood Abbey update.

I'm developing a random table for #RosewoodAbbey.
I need suggestions for wild medieval miracles by an alleged Saint and as wild calamities/profanities performed by an alleged malevolent spirit/heretic. π€
Any suggestions?
For instance...
Saint: Pulled a demon out of a peasant's nose, drank from the virgin Mary's breast...
Heretic: Preaching to goats, eating frogs and bats...

I had very little headspace for #TTRPG since I started my new job. π
I hit 43 this week and by now I feel like it's normal to go through cycles of availability/enthusiasm.
I sincerely look forward having the mojo to work again on projects.
There's much to do on #ParisGondo for the Kickstarter and #RosewoodAbbey

When someone runs a session of #ParisGondo or #RosewoodAbbey, it amounts roughly to a gift to me of:
- 2 to 3 hours of time (what I'd spend to run the session)
- travel time + expenses (easily several hours and Β£50+ if in the UK).
- for US conventions it amounts to several $1000 (travel+expenses.

I'm struggling to get back to my #TTRPG projects since I started my new job. The good news is that I'm meaningfully enthusiastic about this new role. But yeah, I'm low on motivation for the rest.
I've struggled to ship the latest print run of #ParisGondo but it's finally on its way to IPR. Other aspects of the project are delayed to various circumstances.
Meanwhile, I received very interesting playtest feedback for #RosewoodAbbey but I need to get back on that horse. π΄

I'm putting together a "placeholder" cover for #RosewoodAbbey (for the playtest then I'll hire an actual graphic designer).
Would you mind voting for the option(s) you prefer and maybe comment them? β₯οΈ
FYI, this game is an adaptation of #BrindlewoodBay to play monastic mysteries inspired by The Name of the Rose, and Cadfael.

Yay!
I had to learn video editing to bring it to you.
Here's the first of my series of #RosewoodAbbey playtests recorded with #TheGauntlet. β€οΈ
Back to my two playtest session reports. I'm currently running my first proper #RosewoodAbbey series with #TheGauntlet calendar.
I highly recommend joining games there. Amazing GM and players.

As expected, the four players who joined that series are top-notch.

First of all, if you're not aware yet, #RosewoodAbbey is a #CarvedFromBrindlewood TTRPG dedicated to monastic mysteries. It's inspired by The Name of the Rose and Cadfael.
Playtest rules are available here:

I'm two #RosewoodAbbey playtest session report behind. π
I wish I was better at writing them.
Anyway, let's have a go here at remembering what it's worth writing down. π€

I t took me a while to post that #RosewoodAbbey playtest report. Sorry about the delay.
It's really encouraging and heart-warming that some picked up a copy of the draft PDF soon after I finally posted it. β€οΈ
Thanks.
I finally posted that session report from the second #RosewoodAbbey playtest. βΊοΈ

I finally came up with a nicer design for #RosewoodAbbey's title card.
I'm quite happy with the result. π
Do I have a mountain of work to do for a future #ParisGondo Kickstarter campaign? Absolutely.
Should I be finally completing and posting a playtest report, and start drafting a second mystery for #RosewoodAbbey? Indeed I should.
Have I instead spent my day and evening fiddling with the graphic design for the title of both of these?
OF COURSE I HAVE!

I did the same with Brindlewood Bay for #RosewoodAbbey π
Some of the texts are still recognisable in the currently available playtest rules but they should still change a lot.

Hello. I released my first game #ParisGondo - The Life-Saving Magic of Inventorying a bit more than a year ago and I'm developing my second one #RosewoodAbbey. π

That change "saves" time or rather, since individual player don't need to come up with both, it offers more time for them to come up with their rumor or thorn trivia.
It still "pauses" the ongoing mystery/investigation but then unravelling the surrounding mysterie(s) (made up rumors) is as much the purpose of #RosewoodAbbey, maybe even slightly more than in #BrindlewoodBay.

Seeing the Rumors Mill triggered resulted into another rules change.
Since Prick of Thorns (player tells a Sin/Virtue related trivia about their monk) is triggered at the same time as the Rumors Mill (a rumor is added to the mill), I decided to help share the spotlight.
Instead of filling the rumor themselves, the player who triggered the move instead designate another player to fill the rumor, while they tell their Thorn of Sin/Virtue.
