There is a new episode of my conversation series, "Let's Talk!" available; I talked last summer with Prof Kiara Jorgenson of St. Olaf College. We discuss the expanding lives of students, intersectional justice, place-based vocation, panentheism, and more: youtu.be/-0SZnD3AWJ8

Ross Gay's essays in INCITING JOY make me thankful for all the beautiful ways we show up for, fight for, and care for each other. (A lot of you will especially appreciate "We Kin," where the garden becomes "a laboratory of mutual aid.") If you're feeling burned out and cynical, if you're involved in any kind of collective liberation and care, or if you simply need a little boost—this is a must-read.

I'm reading now: The Book of Delights, by Ross Gay.

I didn't realize when I picked up The Book of Delights that it is a daily gratitude journal in essay form, a delightful coincidence since I had just started my own daily practice of journaling gratitude. Okay, we can split hairs over whether delight and gratitude are synonyms, but they're close enough for me to enjoy the coincidence and to expand my own ideas about what gratitude can be. Read . Your life will be richer for it.
