@everickert Hi! I live on #VancouverIsland too on the unceded Kowatsun territories. About 20 years ago at the #RoyalBCMuseum in Coast Salish Territory, there was a lot of #Haida Art and there was a written plaque stating that #CoastSalish didn't really do art. A little later I went to the #NaturalHistoryMuseum in NYC and their entire FN display is Coast Salish Art and relics. #racism?

The #RoyalBCMuseum is tearing out #Chinatown , and all the other parts dedicated to the people who came to settle #BC in the 19th century, without even a plan of what will replace it. Shameful.
