I am a South American biologist, #rstats programmer, and member of several communities of practice in open and responsible research. I am currently a postdoc at UFABC in Brazil, working on the resilience of Brazilian Atlantic Forest ecosystems to climate change.

I used to be able to drag and drop images onto a .qmd or .Rmd in Rstudio using the visual editor. It stopped working, and I can't figure out why?!? If anyone has any tips, much appreciated! #rstats

I used to do one #Rstats project after another and update in between. But the price of success 😬 is that I now have several R project at the same time and each update while some projects are still in progress is a huge source of anxiety.

Thus, I’m considering adding complexity to my workflow with renv. Does it worth it? Do you have ressources on how to use it? Are there better alternatives?

Maybe it’s time to remove dplyr from my Rprofile

I'm experimenting with "de-centralizing" myself by having this main account, and alt visual/audio accounts for other interests.

Sometimes the interests overlap, raising the issue of how to forward centralized interests.

In this case, I'm using principles from an instance theory of memory (Hintzman's MINERVA) to mess around with #generativeArt using #rstats.
