Amazing what unexpectedly flies out of envelopes sometimes. I believe this is the marriage license for my great-great grandparents, who married in Scotland on June 13, 1873. I have the address of their wedding location, which was the bride's home, and looked it up on Google Earth. Looks like a very industrial area now.

@Janealogy Wondering if I can ask you a question I've been confused about - is #Rutherglen considered a neighborhood of #Glasgow? Or is it its own separate town? Do you happen to know?

I've been enjoying photos of #Scotland, the homeland of some of my ancestors. So I thought I'd share a postcard of #Rutherglen that a relative sent in 1907. I'm told the gazebo in the center is now in a public park.
