Interesting to hear last year from @cameronneylon, that citations of papers from #Wageningen UR had notably high Shannon Information in the citers' country of affiliation. This looked like strong #agriculture #research attracting re-use in diverse countries, including the Global South. #SDG2

A 2021 study found that use of #ecological #engineering (#EE) method for non-rice #crop #cultivation proximal to designated #rice-growing fields in #Cambodia led to no decrease in non-rice yields w/no pesticides applications. EE rice fields didn't receive #pesticides applications. Results also demonstrated measurable presence of beneficial arthropods. Benefit--cost ratio among EE fields > conventional fields. A promising set of results supporting #agroecology. #SDG2.4
