Listening to Michael Meeks of @CollaboraOffice at explaining how one of the challenges of digital sovereignty is sustainably funding while maintaining the full promise of Freedom.

He has run through many possible business models and said at the end of each how it depends on an ever growing market to be viable. How can we fund open source in a world where we have found the global growth myth is false?

Politico wants us to worry that foreign companies may influence European and on AI. The far greater issue they ignore is that, by handing the pen to ETSI, their attitude that including royalty-required patents into is desirable will be reflected in European law, locking out open source and thus also citizen scrutiny of code.
