Evening at #Avignon 🇫🇷 station: an #SNCF class BB66000 diesel is passing alongside a #DB #Autozug car-carrying train which makes a stop here on its way from #Narbonne to #Hamburg🇩🇪. A photo I’ve taken in May 2007. It can’t be repeated easily: DB no longer runs these night-trains (and the French diesel has most likely been scrapped since).

🇫🇷🚄☕️ Today's consist of #TGVINOUi № 8922 from #LeCroisic🇫🇷 to #Paris🇫🇷 was a classical #SNCF class "TGV Atlantique" (TGV-A) high-speed train built in 1991 by #Alstom. They were the second generation of TGV trains, following on from the TGV Sud-Est. We left this beauty already in #SaintNazaire🇫🇷. Of course, it was time for a quick coffee☕️ in the bar carriage 😍! #diningcar

🇫🇷🚄 This is a #SNCF Z-TER (Z 21500), an electric multiple unit regional passenger train, manufactured by #Alstom and #Bombardier in service as TER 858381, today's afternoon "Aléoup"-service by the "Pays de la Loire" region from #Rennes🇫🇷 to #Nantes🇫🇷. Operated in double-traction, these trainsets have had seen better days for sure but are still working smoothly. I really love the bar stools, because of the #diningcar-feeling 😍!

🇫🇷🚞🐋 This #Alstom "Coradia A TER" or #SNCF's class X 73500 "Baleine Bleue🐋" worked today's morning TER-service №55409 on #Brittany's scenic branch line between #Guingamp🇫🇷 and #Paimpol🇫🇷. It brought us safely to this year's #FestivalPaimpol "Chant de marin" 😍! #Bahnzeit #PL2023

🇫🇷🚄 The TGV "L’Océane" trains were introduced in 2017 as #SNCF's 3rd generation of TGV Duplex trains, in operation towards Bordeaux and Brittany. The bar carriage has wonderful small boothes with nice table lamps as well as standing tables 🤩!

The very new model "893" in service as #TGVINOUi №8636 arrived with +60min in #Guingamp🇫🇷 today. #diningcar #Bahnzeit

It's windy and trees have fallen onto the line between Limoges and Bordeaux, so while we wait for the people with chainsaws, here's a quick look at #Nexon station. Nexon has a #circus school https://lesirque.com/ and a fabulous château. Water is being distributed by the lovely #SNCF and #TER people who have even brought bowls out of the station for people with animals/feral children. They've also stocked up on loo roll.

🇫🇷🚄 A Bombardier / Alstom Régio2N as #TERBreizhGO №56634 arriving in #Auray🇫🇷 on the way to #Rennes🇫🇷. These double-deck, dual-voltage electric multiple unit trainsets built for #SNCF to serve its regional rail routes (TER, Transilien, and RER). 10 years ago the first trainset was delivered to the French National Railway Company.

An #SNCF 🇫🇷 class #BB67400 diesel is seen here at #Clermont_Ferrand station in May 2007. The consist includes carriages of the #Corail and #USI types. At the far end of the platform: a push-pull train for commuter services.

🇫🇷🚄 One last time, the beauty of #Quiberon🇫🇷 railway station during summer time. It's a #SNCF class B 82500 ready for departure towards #Auray🇫🇷!

🇫🇷🌊🚄 The wonderful "Tire-Bouchon" or "Corkscrew" service by #SNCF🇫🇷 on the Auray–Quiberon single-track, standard gauge rail line serves the Quiberon peninsula seasonally in July & August. The name literally describes its purpose: to cope with the chronic congestion of the only road to reach the popular vacation Ressort🏖️.

Among #SNCF’s 🇫🇷 traditional long-distance trains the #Béziers to #Paris “Aubrac” certainly stands out: the “Causses” line up to Clermont-Ferrand is full of old railway charm and the scenery is just lovely.
