We realise that your "50¢" example was likely a throwaway figure but in #Australia our namesake, #DickSmith, said that number was 30¢.

Ie. people here generally would not be prepared to pay a mere 30¢ more for local, (and better!) foods. We know others who have tried over the years to sell full "#SOLE" food, have also experienced great difficulties.

We know taking an #ethicalStand is difficult but all good things are a bit difficult at first.

For years we were saying reduce, reuse electronic and limit offshoring to countries with lower environmental and worker protections. It may have been futile but the exercise itself is good for the spirit. We would push #SOLE (Sustainable = organic, local, ethical). Maybe wasted effort, maybe not.

We have taken so many steps away.

What really accelerated our focus was #ShopEthical, then one thing led to another and we have fully embraced #SOLE.

And #rethink, #reduce, #repair, #compost and more.

But yes. We still may use a bit of dead dinosaur (#oil) to get around, though we are extremely economical with our use.

We have had fairly successful #unions in Australia. Farmer's, teacher's, lots. They need to be watched like all institutions, yes. General rule is the closer an entity can be to its people the better.

That's why local councils are typically prized but can fall to larger mafias, financiers like Hitler yes. #Sortition (randomised governance) *can* help. Back to #democracy.

Step 1) Open svg in Inkscape and alter flyer to taste, either by using our templates in the svg, or otherwise.
2) Print and destribute to people on your communte, asking people first whether they are "just a little bit fed up with the online algorithms, dictating what they can see and say online"
3) Have fun

Its not easy, there's no easy way around it.

Blocking BigTech at the local level, including IBM and Oracle is important.

One path out is to be active locally. Start talking to people and sharing knowledge locally, under the full realisation that AllPhonesAreBad now (#APAB).
