We're celebrating 3,000 memes today on the #SUCHO #meme wall! They're annotated, translated, and are a remarkable (and often funny) record of Russia's invasion of Ukraine, as shared on the internet. And if you'd like them in your feed, just follow @sucho_memes

It's been almost two decades since I spent a whole Sunday deep into video editing, and I'd forgotten the weird feeling of being adrift once you finish the project you were working on. 🫨 Looking forward to sharing this new #SUCHO video later this week.
I've often said that #SUCHO feels like the #DigitalHumanities version of a final game boss, where you have to draw upon everything you've ever learned to make it happen.
Somehow that keeps getting more true. I now have 24 hours to make a video, which I haven't done since college but was my major hobby for a couple years then.
Since #SUCHO it's impossible to not be impressed by the #Taipei #airport. Every gate in the transfer zone at least is deeply themed with some environmental or cultural heritage theme. To the point of impracticality even: traditional canoes or reimagined bird nests instead of chairs and chargers. But given the stakes it's hard to be cranky, even sitting on a pseudo rock. #CulturalHeritage

A writeup of #SUCHO week is now up on our #DigitalHumanities blog: https://digitalhumanities.stanford.edu/sucho-week/. Special thanks to the @internetarchive for their hospitality last week!
Sebastian Majstorovic presenting #SUCHO at Stanford's CESTA lunch talk series. This local museum website was archived by @epyllia last March; the museum was attacked, the director was killed, the website is down, but we have this record. #DigitalHumanities
The best #DigitalHumanities tip I know is to find yourself awesome collaborators in various time zones, so that when, e.g. UNESCO gives you one day's notice on a 6 AM meeting, you don't have to wake up early and scramble your life to make it work. #SUCHO
