Firewire was not so bad compared to s-video. I remember when an s-video pin used to bend or break.

No #svideo or any other mods will happen (and will forget about getting any vintage computer gear even if cheap), surprise bill made sure frivolous expenses must take a back seat. I'll just install a couple more emulators on the #RetroPie, take pics and then try to sell the TV.

Tested with RetroPie (really nice that a Pi 3 can output composite via the 3.5 mm jack) - looks great if games are around 320x200, fuzzy in higher resolution as expected.

I just had the really unwise idea to see if I could do an S-video mod to this TV. It's possible for similar Sharp models so maybe I'll open it up and check; if mod is doable it would pair well with a Commodore 64.

Okay, I suck at "Fortress of Narzod" but at least the "EasyCAP" #svideo grabber works fine on my #linux box ...

The S-Video mod of the #VickyTwenty worked out. It is not so visible here, but it is sharper and the colors are less blurred. First, the retroTINK was set to the wrong mode and it looked shitty… phewww… VIC-20 A/V-Adapter Rev. 1 #Commodore #VIC20 #SVideo
