The struggle for clean #Water & #sanitation started in the mid 19th century & is still ongoing. There is so much inequality in access. The US has tried to improve indoor air quality (ref: https://www.whitehouse.gov/ostp/news-updates/2022/12/08/fact-sheet-departments-and-agencies-commit-to-cleaner-indoor-air-across-the-nation/) but this is voluntary. There should be clean air REQUIREMENTS, at least in states that haven't gone completely insane.
