At 6:30am here in Mount Angel, my own station reports 35 degrees out. However, I just went out and saw light frost on a few cars out here, but nowhere else.

Take a little caution if driving in the lower valleys and farm areas. May see a frosty patch here and there.

6:15am - Fog is now patchy in town and along the 224. But some quite dense areas.
In town, I show 33 degrees. No visible frost here, but could be a concer for lower valley areas.

Small branches breaking. Lids on dumpster blowing open. Downed trees may be expected.

With weakened trees from the recent freeze, and considerable ground saturation, we could expect to see some scattered tree damage, power outages.

At 5:20am we are at 32.2 degrees, showing a moderate AQI at 79, no winds.

Pretty solid sheet of ice, but I can see air getting under it, a good sign.
Radar in our immediate area is pretty clear, so unfortunately we don’t have that expected rain to scrub us out.

Please be careful on your morning travels! Conditions will be very mixed, but should improve throughout the day.

7:45am - Highway 224 at Mount Angel.
Extremely slippery. We have light rain on ice.
However I do see some signs of melt.
Ground temp is still 26, but this rain has no ice features, and is steady if light.

Crossing fingers here, but I think our area should be fairly melted by this afternoon- stay tuned.

At 6am in Mount Angel, we are at 25 degrees. A skin of solid ice coats our town, but buildup was low compared to parts north. 1/8-1/4” ice layer.
Dry skies here currently, looks like there’s still some showers north of us.

Hubby had to call in, can’t get his doors open, hehe.

I’ve been watching this bank offshore to the NW creeping in.
It seems to be getting dried out over the coastal range, but it could be that we see a few flakes in the area over the next hour or two.
