Ever the model of consistency, Magic Mountain Truck Trail is the big winner with a gust of 59 MPH. #CAwx

Gusty #SantaAnaWinds are expected tonight through tomorrow with gusts of 30-50 mph for the mountains of LA and Ventura Counties. It will be dry but no fire weather issues are expected due to the signifcant rainfall we've had. #CAwx

Survey of Balboa Park area found over a dozen very large trees, mostly eucalyptus, but at least one large pine tree - clean up crews activity working #santaanawinds - the park was closed on Thursday for high wind which has not happen for over 20 years #cawx

The #SantaAnaWinds are picking up. Here are the current wind gusts. So far the top gust is 73 mph at Pleasants Peak in the Santa Ana Mountains. #CAwx

The wind has shifted back onshore at Oxnard Airport prompting the temperature to plummet down to 52 degrees. Yet here a few miles away at our NWS office the temperature is 62 with light NE winds. Crazy how much difference a couple miles makes! #CAwx #SantaAnaWinds
