9 hour Savage Pathfinder session last night. Full blown Dungeon crawl through a repurposed Dark Tower of Calibar (the first adventure in the first Dungeon magazine).

Had some humor (a magical guardian cat that just kept coming back), some serious tension (our tank Paladin got pincushioned by orcs and nearly died), and an epic throwdown with a vampire and an infinite army of skeletons.

Now the whole campaign shifts directions.

Had an enjoyable time last night running A Christmas Carol Adventure in Savage Pathfinder. The heroes were whisked off on a Christmas adventure to save the soul of Scrooge, only to wake up at the end, back in the tavern they had fallen asleep in, but with the reward (3 magic coins) gained from helping Scrooge.

More importantly, I got to game with my friends for Christmas.

Running Savage Pathfinder last week, I experimented with giving the "boss fight" (a Black Dragon) multiple Action cards to offset the disparity in the action economy, somewhat inspired by 5e's Legendary actions.

Fight still only went 1 round (the default stat block isn't a Wild Card), but it seemed promising. Will definitely revisit this rule/idea in the future. #ttrpg #SavageWorlds #SavagePathfinder

I haven't looked at #savageworlds in a long time. Was burned out on it and when #SWADE Kickstarted. Just now finished reading it and it sounds fun again. Asked for #SavagePathfinder for Christmas. Let's see how this develops. Had a look at #SWAG on #dtrpg and am overwhelmed. So much stuff. Awesome. Maybe #SWADE will find a place at the virtual table again.

Last night's #SavageWorlds game saw the PCs looking for their lost centaur ally who went missing as he was scouting a gnoll invasion force.

They went looking and ultimately found the gnolls had killed their friend, but they rained vengeance down on the gnolls, punctuated by our Fairy Druid turning into a gold dragon with the aid of an adventure card.

The gnolls were the impetus for the campaign beginning so essentially the first arc is done, but other threats loom. #SavagePathfinder

@laidbackdm running an #OSE or #OldSchoolEssentials game (homebrew) and an #SWPF or #SavagePathfinder game ( #RotRL #RiseoftheRunelords) and I'm playing in a #PF1e game ( #CarrionCrown ). Been also running some occasional one-shots in various other systems.
