The stark reality of #Torycorruption:

The money the Tories spent on the failed #testandtrace programme during the #pandemic would now have paid for a 15% pay rise for every #NHS #worker until 2058.

While claiming there's insufficient money to pay a reasonable wage to NHS staff, there was always enough money to give to their chums (whether for rubbish PPE or ineffective T&T).

The NHS is not safe in Tory hands (but you know that!)

In an interview with the FT, Thomas Buberl, Axa Insurance's CEO baldly notes that the #NHScrisis presents 'quite a few business opportunities' as he continues to expand Axa's private #healthcare business in the UK.

It'll be no surprise that he would see the travails of the #Tory engineered health care crisis this way, and merely confirms that the #privatesector completely understand what the #Tories' wrecking of the #NHS is intended to achieve.

a. money is a resource;

c. Why not add it to the core funding of the NHS.... pay the staff better & expand the maintenance funds...

Some trusts are offering 'golden hellos' to #nurses to encourage them to apply & stay where there are staff shortages.

All this will do is move the staffing crisis more firmly into the most cash-strapped Trusts & reinforce the unevenness of #healthcare.

For the #Tories this looks like a 'market' working & they'll see it as part of the 'solution' not adding to the crisis!

Trusts fighting for staff is not the answer to any Q.

in 1960 the Uk ranked 7th for #lifeexpectancy among OECD nations.... 60 years later in 2020 it had dropped to 23rd!

And if you want to have a look at the OECD data, what you can see is that the relative decline has been largely since 2010.... I wonder why?

Ignore the Tories pious words on the NHS and observe the effect of their actions, and who it benefits.

Note that while over half said it was to be seen quicker, only 15% said it was to get a better service...

So engineering ever increasing waiting lists has helped the Tories chums in private health care considerably!
