Tbe Cleveland Way runs at the back of the Scalby Lodge cottages. It is a National Trail in Northern England, stretching for 110 miles (176 km) from the town of Helmsley in North Yorkshire to Filey in East Yorkshire. The section of the trail that runs along the cliffs is particularly popular offering stunning views of the coast, as well as a chance to spot wildlife such as seabirds, seals, and porpoises.

Back at Scalby Lodge in Burniston. One of our beloved holiday rental cottages. Burniston is a village located on the outskirts of Scarborough in North Yorkshire, and is part of the North York Moors National Park, which is one of the UK's most beautiful and dramatic areas of natural beauty. The area is popular with hikers, cyclists, and outdoor enthusiasts, who come to explore its rugged moorland terrain.

Back at Scalby Lodge holiday cottages in Burniston. Looking 'up coast' from the cottages (towards Whitby). The September sun serves to bring a golden glow to the fields and brings the rowan berries into high contrast.

I’m going to post a #ukcountrypic every day from now on. This is one of my favourites and was taken at #Scalbylodge holiday cottages in #Burniston in N.E. Yorkshire. This year the field was allowed to go fallow which is great for the wildlife.
