Clearly that #YellowFacedHoneyeater was keen to capture all its sides. Pictured here facing left this time.
Also, a male #ScarletHoneyeater briefly in a position where it could be photographed, and a couple of shots of a female #GoldenWhistler who happily posed for me relatively close by (albeit in deep shade).

Some of the other birds we encountered were Scarlet Honeyeaters, an Azure Kingfisher, a Rufous Fantail, and a Large-Billed Scrubwren.

The track we took had a hilly section that rose above the lake and this is where we found quite a large number of #ScarletHoneyeater s. Pictured here are two shots of the same female.
Back down near the lake I spied a #WillyWagtail incongruously on a Lilly pad, but it took off to a nearby branch before I could get the camera trained on it, so this shot is of it on the branch.

I popped down the road this afternoon on the report of a very out-of-area bird sighting. Turned out it wasn't what was reported, but rather a male Scarlet Honeyeater (a good bird to spot for sure anyway). There were also copious numbers of Rainbow Lorikeets too.
