Exciting news! We just completed our double iteration of scenario planning for the future of AI. While the last week of single iteration was a great starting point, this time around proved to be far more challenging as we dive deeper into the complexities and uncertainties of AI's impact on society. But despite the difficulties, the outcomes are fascinating and provide valuable insights for shaping a positive future for AI.

At this career-reflective time of year I have finally got round to writing up my thinking on applying Scenario Planning to thinking about one's career. I'll be interested to know what people think.

Like… could platform a global movement like or serve democratic agency for citizens in Iran, Palestine, Hong Kong? I am inclined to think the fediverse will be ruined by capricious capitalism but y’know… we *could* try being kind & minimalist for a few thousand generations for a change?

Recalling Twitter’s halcyon days - when it was the delight of microblogging nerdy types: and seeing the giddy shroom highs that people seem to be experiencing in right now (Likening it to the early days of socials). Where you think it could “go wrong” for the across the next two decades? Money, power, greed, politics, capricious humanity?

If we can see any problems now, we can prepare for & minimise them, right?

  • As is updating procedures with lessons learnt from the exercises. ...
