I've shown pictures from this series before, the old #Papermill in #Scheemda, #Groningen, called "De Toekomst" (The Future). The series dates back to 2005 when it was a big 'ol mess, but excellent urbex shooting. We don't get that to do that much in the Netherlands because they always clean up really fast.

It's been a while since I've been in the old #papermill #DeToekomst in #Scheemda, #Groningen, but we had some good fun there. Pretty exciting to go beyond the "No Access" fences 😂
Since then it has been used as a location for several things, not in the least for a part of the movie "Zwartboek" about the 2nd Word War. Really fascinating history and nice old stuff!

De oude Strokartonfabriek "De Toekomst" nabij #Scheemda. Onderdeel van #IndustrieelErfgoed in #Groningen. Jaren geleden was ik hier met een vriend om foto's te maken op ijzig koude dag met stralende zon. De resultaten lijken wel zo uit de jaren '70 te komen.
Deze fabriek is ondertussen verbouwd en opgeknapt, maar wij hadden de mazzel dat het nog helemaal aan puin lag.
