An Eastern Gray Squirrel, Sciurus carolinensis, enjoys an autumn snack on the forest floor in the Latham-Woodhurst Nature Park. The park, located a few miles outside the busy city of New Bern, North Carolina, is a wonderful preserve of forest and wetlands.
