Took a walk last evening just as the light was fading slightly. The East Coast Main Line is at the bottom of my street and I often walk in the field by the line. A North Berwick to Edinburgh sprinter passed at Brunstane Farm and I captured it going at some pace. #Scotrail #edinburgh #northberwick

The #scotrail #train from Charing Cross #Glasgow to #Edinburgh Waverley is now £28.90 for a return. It just changed this week (up from £27.60). Sheesh!

I tooted a few weeks ago that I loved #scotrail trains with a sense of humour (had found one idling at the station with the destination shown as "chillin'" ). Yesterday I spotted another wee example which gave me a giggle as I was waiting for the doors to open. Remember those areas in corridors that used to say "private"? Well now they say this! Keep it up Scotrail, this is a smart way to build a brand .

Does anyone know if #ScotRail
is still having random cancellations, or whether they are back on regular timetables again?

Back when they got handed the franchise #Abellio talked about doing this, hopefully under new management this time #ScotRail will deliver.

It’s crazy given how often the #Highland routes get voted as some of the most scenic in the world we’re still running ageing, dirty multiple units rather than trains that could really allow tourists and leisure travel to enjoy the spectacular scenery.
