New to our walls - Coastguard Cottages (the Coasties), Auchmithie by our friend Auchmithie-based artist, Steph Masterson.
We lived in Auchmithie for a couple of years in the early 2000s and this was the view from our house. I have used Steph's work for both of my book covers - she is very talented, though has been ill for many years with ME.

“J. D. Fergusson was a leading Scottish modernist. He was one of a group of painters attracted by the bright colours used by the Fauve group of French artists. He developed enlarged sketches of café-life like this into finished paintings, which often centred on the figure of a glamorous woman.”
