On this day in 1988 the “#Lesbian Avengers” abseiled into the House of Lords to protest the enactment of #Section28 which banned the discussion of #homosexuality in schools.

We need more of this energy today.

With today's far reaching social media and Internet widely available. Any attempt to reintroduce legislation similar (or worse than) section 28 would be unenforceable without major government interference in controlling access to the Internet.
