This near flawless #Seiko #LordMarvel 36000 5740-8000 watch was made in December 1972. It is one of my prized #vintage #watches.

The 5740C hand-winding mechanical movement that powers this watch was designed and made in the Seiko #Suwa factory. It was Seiko's first production movement beating at 36000 beats per hour. This results in a smooth second hand movement with 10 beats of the hand every second.

This watch is still incredibly accurate and runs sub-5 seconds a day.

One of my other passions is #watches. Particularly #Seiko. They have an extensive history of pioneering watch development and make great mechanical watches at a price I can afford. 😆

This is my #Seiko5 build. Dial, hands, and case come from three different Seiko 5s. I put in an upgraded NH-36 movement and a Kanji date wheel. Also added a blue AR sapphire crystal. Bracket is from a Seiko SRP.
