I shared the news about Wilkerson departing the #ThornsFC with my wife and she commented about how “just adding women” to the existing power structures isn’t the solution people think it is.
Unless those women are committed to dismantling the structures that allow injustice to flourish, and unless they aren’t likely to benefit from upholding the status quo, then they are just as likely to continue the injustice.

So much heartache this year and the next report is about to come out. I’m feeling pretty certain that Merritt Paulson is jumping out before the report drops with demands that he sell. His insistence that we focus on all he’s done for womens soccer feels like a tell because the next report is going to be dark af.

Finally watched the second - own - goal of the Thorns vs. the Current. Whew. That was just painful from a Current side of things. Andre tweeted a GIF of "not like this" and seriously, that sucked. For the Current. Where I have season tickets since (as far as we know) the owners don't support and enable predatory coaches and other front office staff. Anyway, I'm a longtime Thorns fan and would love to regain my fandom and season tickets. #SellTheTeamsMerritt.
