Hey #Twitter #birdsite people, can you help me understand this?

I'm manually undoing retweets (because I waited until the API access was denied, rendering #Semiphemeral, etc useless), and am running into an issue when trying to undo some retweets, and wondering if I am stuck with them forever.

What I am seeing per image below is "You Retweeted...", but when looking at the RT button, there isn't an option to "Undo Retweet" instead, options are to "Retweet" or "QT.

Is this an anomaly of how Twitter databases are falling apart?

Anyone have any news on #Semiphemeral since the #BirdSite API shenanagins? It looks like it's gone.

#BirdChan evac plan (do it before you regret it):

1) Archive tweets, then bulk delete. Highly recommend #Semiphemeral for this. Can delete DMs as well (also highly recommended)

2) Export your follows/lists (use #Debirdify)

3) Lock account - DO NOT delete

4) Update password if possible for max security. (Don’t set up 2FA if that’s an option - not reliably supported)

5) Delete iOS and/or Android apps - security no longer guaranteed

(Which raises another point; a lot of people are saying the move to disable API access is to stop people using clients that avoid ads, and that probably is a big part of it. But stopping people removing their valuable data may also be a big part of it. Is #Semiphemeral not working? For days it's told me I'm in a queue I never seem to reach the front of. I pause it and restart it, and for a moment it shows me the time then says I'm back in the queue again. I just asked it to download my tweets again, and now it tells me again that I'm waiting in the queue (with no option to pause now). :blobcatroll:

With #Semiphemeral on a go slow under heavy load (and with its functionality limited to an extent by the #Twitter API) have switched back to #Redact to clear down some old data, and am reminded just how good it is. I've no idea how it gets around the API restrictions, but it seems to.

When I looked at it before, I wanted something I could leave running that would regularly clear down tweets, and it's not so great for that. But it's excellent for the nuclear option.

Finally got #semiphemeral working.

Mine is one of those accounts where you first need to do a full data export, then massage the output, then import it into a local build of semiphemeral, let it spend several days building it's DB (with frequent crashes because of badly formatted or invalid tweets in twitter's export dump), and THEN start deleting.

#Semiphemeral's problem with downloading duplicate tweets and then deleting ones you've set it not to delete (because it won't let you mark both copies as not for deletion) is making it unusable. :blobcatroll:
