I love "they." I've even been using it with people who appear gender conforming but I don't specifically know their preference.

Very interesting: The has adopted the spelling of instead of anti-Semitism.

lists this term with the hyphen first, so that's what I'd ordinarily use. But the reasoning for the no-hyphen version is compelling. Read about it at the link.

Basically, "Semitism" is not a thing. It's a dog whistle. Capitalizing it legitimizes it; lower-casing it indicates that the concept itself was never valid.
