Cold and windy day. When I left for golf at 7.30am, #ShadowCat was curled up in bed and didn't even get up for breakfast. Got home at 1.30pm, and the little bugaloo was still in bed! He jumped up and ate his breakfast, but then curled up on my lap.

Post-vet snuggles. Stitch removal didn't go well. The scab got ripped off, and the wound opened up again. This time, I elected to leave it as is and hope it heals without further surgical intervention and a third set of stitches.

Took #ShadowCat to the vet this morning to get his stitches taken out. But, his wound hadn't quite mended and pulled open. So they whisked him out back and put in a new stitch to hold the skin together. He's feeling a bit sad with the world, and the pouring rain isn't helping...so cuddles.

Poor dopey #ShadowCat has been sitting staring into the distance for the last half-hour 😽

#ShadowCat home safe. Very hungry and quite woozy still... runs a bit like Captain Sparrow! He's very unimpressed the cone 😾
There's a big shaved patch on his back, a long row of stitches, and a couple of drains installed.

We're off to the vet tomorrow to check out the lumps on his back (hard to see, but just above his hips). He was probably bitten again, but these aren't getting better.

Tried to go to golf this morning. Sat in my car for 45 minutes and had only driven about 3 km. So turned around and came home.
Fucking traffic was chaos out there. I've now got a headache.
#ShadowCat is delighted I'm home.

When I first moved in here and adopted #ShadowCat in 2019, this young stray tomcat started hanging around. I called him #DorianStray and worked hard at making him comfortable around me. I fed him and chatted to him, and he did relax but never fully let down his guard. I was allowed the odd pat when he was eating, but that was it.

After a weekend of limping, but being in good spirits, #ShadowCat has doctored his injury. It's an open wound, but is clean and drained. The swelling has gone down and his swagger is back.
His biggest annoyance is the rain!
