This weekend I finished my latest woodworking project! As a former stressed-out software engineer, it's been refreshing to slow down, be present, and create something with my hands. Turns out, there are more similarities between woodworking and software engineering than I thought.

This is a primarily a storage cart that I'll be using around the shop. I still need to organize it a bit more, but at least all the stuff is off the floor now.

I modeled this in #shapr3d on my iPad Pro with the Apple Pencil, exported the model over to Carbide Create, and exported the generated code into Carbide Motion (although I'm currently experimenting with gSender)

In a tiny ~100sqft shop, I do small scale #woodworking ... bits of small cabinetry or furniture and little things for around the house or gifts for friends. I recently got a small #shapeoko CNC and am building up knowledge with a goal of adding inlay to other wood projects.
