@cedar #ShutDownCanada in 2020 brought pretty much everyone together in Kingston & area, for a time. Coordination across conflict made a lot of big actions happen locally, everyone just knew it was the moment to put shit aside and mobilize. That level of coordination didn't hold but I think relations across conflict in that city have generally improved thanks to this and other efforts.

@zola ' won't pretend to be well-versed on this but Kanahus Manuel is bang on, that Indigenous youth press conference on the steps of the so-called Victoria legislature some years ago (during #ShutDownCanada ?) was powerful, perhaps that brief confrontation of Alanis Obomsawin of the then-québec fisheries minister, there's lots of Cindy Blackstock to choose from
