No monsters, aliens or evil empires… just the occasional bird or rabbit, but still one of my favourite sci-fi movies of all time. It’s an intelligent movie with a heart, and decades ahead of its time regarding protecting the environment.
It may have been filmed in 1972 and the effects may be slightly dated, but it’s a little gem.

I had some pretty good environmental role models growing up in the 1970s/1980s. Some were fictional, some were real. One of my fictional ones was #TheLorax. Another was Freeman Lowell of #SilentRunning.
