My appetite returned today, so I spent my day shoveling food into my hungry mouth and taking naps. In between those two activities, I also finished up the last few achievements I needed to Platinum #Sims4. Now I can uninstall that broken game and never play it again. I wanted to rage quit when we got this week's patch, but I worked too damn hard for too long on getting all the achievements, and I wasn’t stopping until I got Platinum.

Now that I’ve finished that insane generational achievement in #Sims4, I’m taking a break from that game. Back to #NoMansSky! I have a big base I need to finish building, and while I’ve been taking a break from that, the husband has invaded another system he wants me to also build in. I suspect there will be a new expedition very soon too. Like maybe next week.

I’m also gearing up for my return to #FFXIV. I’m at the watching videos and reading Discord to get caught up on any changes to classes and whatnot stage of things, while also looking for a nice Free Company to join.

At long last, I have finished the Alphabet Legacy achievement! It is a glorious day! #Sims4 #Gaming

#Sims4: The teen twins have packed what few things they actually own, had one last dinner with the parents, and the parents went to bed. I’ve made a nice clean save right there, in case them running away is a disaster I regret. After we have supper ourselves, I guess I’ll move them out and see what happens! I’m scared for them!

Have decided that my #Sims4 twentieth generation teenaged twins are going to run away from home. My legacy family has once again become quite wealthy, and the boredom of upper middle class suburban life is driving me insane. Time to reset the wealth factor and make things interesting again.

Last night, all the required things in #Sims4 were in place for my current generation of Sims to try for triplets. After waiting an excruciating hour and a half, she only had twins. That accomplishment remains unaccomplished. I briefly considered going back to the pre-pregnancy save and trying again, but little Brian and Gina are here now. Felt a little heartless. Generation 20 is a go!

I have decided to download the #Sims4 infants update. It’s not like I can avoid it forever. I’m hearing about a couple of very concerning bugs, but they don’t seem to be widespread, and the other bugs are just more of the irritating sort I’ve already been suffering with in my game. Might as well get it over with. Worst that happens is I continue to not play the game. Best that happens is I get to play with slightly more bugs than usual.

The pre-expansion #Sims4 base game update dropped earlier today. I’ve not installed it, because this is definitely a wait and see situation. Did read the patch notes, and some small irritating things got fixed, but the big ones not so much. I am hearing that some PC players are having EA App problems (can’t log in/can but library empty) and that build/buy on console is even more broken.

I’m not hearing any hype? Like at all? I’d have expected to hear someone being excited about infants by now. Guess I’ll play #NoMansSky tonight!

#Sims4 : Decided to try to squeeze in one more generation of play on my legacy save before the infant update comes along and completely breaks the entire game. So generation 16 is about to age up to teen. When she gets to young adult, I’ll make a nice clean save and then wait and see what happens with the update and expansion.

How do I know it’s going to completely break the game, you ask? High School Years didn’t touch even a fraction of the base game code as this one will, and the pre-expansion update caused utter and complete chaos. My game (on console, so no bug fixing mods) is already in a terrible state. It’s the first time I’ve considered not updating, even though I really want infants (and the new expansion, if I’m being honest).

Since build mode is a mess in both #Sims4 and #NoMansSky right now, I thought I’d just work on moving one of my portal bases to a better planet on my Galaxy Girl save in #NMS. When I arrived at said base, my base computer, my ship, and myself all spawned underground. Now I’m terrified to go check any of the 49 other bases, some of which are actual bases with buildings.

Did the No Man's Sky devs hire the Sims 4 folks to write code for them? Guess I’ll be playing some other game until one of these other games gets their act together and fixes a bunch of bugs. I’m tired of spending all my gameplay time beta testing software releases. 🤬

#Sims4: "They should have one more kid. Two's not bad. The other one is in school, so it’ll be fine. Maybe this one will be a mermaid. I’m so tired of playing spell casters," I said to myself as I clicked "try for baby" on the hot tub.

They had twin girls. Twins. I am absolutely regretting my decisions. My poor bedraggled sims. They’ll never get to ski again!

Today in #Sims4, current Sim learned the importance of checking the snow conditions before going skiing. Well, she probably didn’t learn a damn thing, but I did. 🤣

Having now spent some time in #Sims4 post update, I would like to revise my previous positive feelings about it. It’s bad, and the devs should feel bad for having foisted it upon their players. Easily discoverable bugs, some quite egregious, and the new build/buy console user interface is an outright disaster. I don’t know why I allowed myself to believe for even a minute the folks at Maxis might have put out a solid update that improved the game. I know better, and I'm pretty sure that teensy little bit of hope left in my heart that they might get their act together eventually may finally have been squashed.

Anyway, there’s going to be a blog post. Possibly more than one. But first, I have to compile a number of bug reports, after having spent two evenings beta testing their publicly released crap code. 🤬

I can’t even find the words to express how thrilled I am about this one thing in the #Sims4 update. Yay! There are a number of UI changes, so far I like them. Also, light switches and medical wearables and top surgery scars! The scars though I can’t access with my born in game sims, which has been a bug for a while. Guess I’ll go complain again. But first to build a house! Generation 13 just graduated from university, and she’s got nowhere to live. 🤣

All of the things that needed doing today have been done. Now to decide if I want to waste my afternoon wandering around on a pretty planet in #NoMansSky or watching the drama and chaos in my #Sims4 game. 😄

Got done with all the things that had to be done early, so I spent some time working on one of my #Sims4 builds. I’m not actually done with this, but I’m tired of working on it. Later, I think I’ll move some Sims in and see what happens.

I shall now make food. The husband seems to think eating is important and that we haven’t done enough of it today. But after that I’m going to do some building in #Sims4, which is how I'd planned to spend my holiday downtime!

#Sims4 shenanigans. Single mother of twin toddlers & 1 child manages to bring up said toddlers and throws a birthday party. While she was busy baking the birthday cake, the eldest child decided to drown in the pool during the party…. (Yes, there was a ladder. No, I have no idea why this happened)

#Sims4 shenanigans. Getting pregnant again from my Sim’s husband. The husband died before the baby was born. Turns out it were twins. So now my Sim is a single mom of 2 toddlers and 1 child. Help!
