@ChrisMayLA6 Though no party has really understood and if they have believed in the solution for a century: the #SingleTax on land and other economic rents, simultaneously reducing the cost of living, and the housing crisis, while turbo-charging production and labour's share of it! Perhaps because their preferred solutions require politicians to "ride to the rescue" whilst all the time making the problems worse!

#UN #IPCC we will not move quickly enough on climate change, especially in the developed world, while we run a fiscal system that forces ever more production and rewards ever more profligacy of the planet.

It really doesn't matter what comes out of #COP27 until & unless our politicians stop privileging extraction of rent from "owning" the planet while punishing production through taxes meaning we have to do ever more of it to pay that privatised rent. This is a sine qua non of fixing our planet. Serendipitously it could also be used to finance sustainable futures for nations who currently rly on selling he rest of us the products of extraction #SingleTax
