Anyone have any experience getting OTBR working with a #HomeAssistant #Skyconnect?

I dont use HAOS, so I can't just install the add-on and go to town. At the moment I just get "Failed to communicate with RCP" even though I've got the right address and 99% sure I've got the right firmware.

@slackerlabs That's the same thing I've seen too, using @rpilocator. I'm sure I'll be able to grab one eventually, but for now I just got my setup working on an old RPI4B+ 8GB with #hassio and I'm waiting on the next round of #SkyConnect shipments from Ameridroid.

I have to say: I‘m a bit underwhelmed of the performance / stability of my zigbee smarthome powered by #homeassistant and #SkyConnect … Devices stop working randomly, huge delays when pressing buttons and waiting for the action etc…

This arrived today. I think I'm going to wait to hook it up until there is more #Matter activity. I'm not dying to entirely redo my #Zigbee system but I knew this when I bought the #Sonoff coordinator to tide me over until this arrived.

Looking forward to interesting #HomeAssistant stuff with this thing in the future.

After setting up my homeassistant #SkyConnect and connecting my various zigbee devices I noticed I cannot add my bosch smarthome devices despite the fact that they are using zigbee - there’s no way to bring them in setup-mode.
Wtf why bosch :(

Successfully installed my #skyconnect stick in homeassistant and added my first ikea lightbulb - now to the fun part: reset every zigbee device in my home😵‍💫

I ordered a #homeassistant #skyconnect today. Having to pair everything zigbee again onto is going to have terrible husband approval factor.

He is going to have to hold the ladder.

Does it matter?

Time to build my zigbee network without these dumb different bridges #homeassistant #SkyConnect

@todd I'd also like to know this! I'm using #Zigbee2MQTT and a Conbee II personally and would like to migrate to #SkyConnect potentially

If my current #zigbee dongle is working fine, other than Material support (and no #Material devices in the house) is there any benefit to using the new #homeassistant #SkyConnect ?
