One of the things I really miss about Australia is the gum trees (Eucalyptus). By happy concidence in our new Welsh home, the view from my study window includes this beautiful gum tree, which looks majestic even against a cold blue sky of a British winter. Every time I see it, I smile.

Small good deeds for the day: I took my Spathiphyllum (peace lily) outside to soak up some of the rain - and one of my neighbourhood squirrels came over to have a look. 🐿️

I haven't seen this one (the less wary one) for a couple of weeks and was becoming a bit concerned.

But they were happy enough to pick up the hazelnuts I put out for them - and I was happy to see them.

For the 1st time in 15 months, we are eating out! I mean, it's just the garden centre cafe, but they have set up a good outdoor socially distanced cafe, and the sun is shining.
