You may have read that the NRC has just certified the first #SmallModularReactor (SMR) design by NuScale.
The first power plant based on 6 units of a yet to be certified 77 MW variant of the freshly certified 50 MW design is scheduled to go online in 2030 (if all goes according to plan).
