It boggles my mind that whistleblowers like #Snowdon who were doing the right thing, were given much more serious charges than #Teixeira , who was risking Ukrainian lives so he could be the leader among his friends.

2011 and a Marie Curie Cancer Care charity trek to climb Snowdon, Wales. Conditions were mixed, fog one minute, clear the next, but the rain stayed away.

@rjay wow, so my relatively tangential thoughts, at this early an hour, might mean I need #coffee before thinking too deeply at the start of the day...

So my take is, how aweful and extreme it must seem to people living in #Russia, that the Zarists / Empire Ideologues hypnotize /brainwash / indoctrinate people to metaphorically if also at times litterally be the log thrown on the fire that fuels Russian Impirialism ...

And how it reminds me of how much I dislike Canadian Blood Services slogan "It is in you to give" as is Life apparently for Russians . The close connections of words like life / death and lifeblood perhaps spark this association, and I know they are different things completely...

And how sad that #Snowdon is exiled to such a place...

And how I really do not like how mental health #stigma can so easily be inserted into an otherwise important idea about global politics. Please know that for a person who may have needed hospitalization due to their own mental health deterioration, some will feel an association with the disparaging use of the term "insane" and feelings of embarrasment or shame about needing such a health service, especially when such careless use of a word is seized and then used repeatedly by a majority of people who will never experience such a health problem of such profound loss of self and one's own agency so as to require possible forced hospitalization bothers me...

I can only ask that people be mindful that words can hurt, and that words matter. Re stigmatizing mental illness please chose words carefully, and learn and grow from your own experiences with kindness as your guide...

God I wish the coffee would hurry up and brew faster..
