As a side note, I don't particularly like coffee, I tend to choke it down with flavourings and at least 6 sugars. I'm just in it for the caffeine hit.

This morning had our first (unplanned!) power cut this winter. So many house alarms need reconfiguring to not go off if the power is interrupted. One wave started when the power went down, another when it came back. Ours? Perfectly silent. Not even the tamper alarm went off.

It's been over 2 hours and there's still one alarm, somewhere in the distance, going off. Shouldn't these things have time-outs?

I am dreading planned #RollingBlackouts as our area has midnight-3am as one timeslot. Will I ever have decent sleep at a weekend again?
