📃The tip of the nose reliably changes temperature according to the level of #socialanxiety, while other parts of the face do not, report #CIMeC 's Javier Albayay and colleagues in Anxiety, Stress, & Coping. The team trained a thermal camera on subjects engaged in five #socialinteraction tasks. The task involving interactions with strangers was the most effective, even more so than public speaking, embarrassment or interaction with the opposite sex.

Stress tends to fry my social interaction filters. Like the one between my thoughts and what comes out of my mouth. On the plus side that tends to make me more honest. On the other hand, it usually startles people.

@melindrea That is a perfect way of describing it! You can see NT's are not thinking their way through, it's all instinctual whilst I have to desperately think through responses in real time. (It looks sooo natural! )
